Our restaurant in Palma de Mallorca is back with a completely renovated cocktail menu which is now in full swing. On this occasion, we wanted to create something for everyone and to offer cocktails inspired by long drinks which are centred on 16 creations, of which 4 are non-alcoholic but can also be adapted and enjoyed with alcohol so that, those who don’t want to or can’t have alcohol can enjoy them in the same way. In this blog article we will be presenting two of these creations. Would you like to know about this menu which caters for everyone? We will be giving you all the details in this blog article.
The OMBU Mule, the minimalist essence of our cocktail selection in Palma de Mallorca
If we had to choose an iconic cocktail for this season, it would be, without a doubt, the OMBU Mule, but it now has a more personal, Mediterranean and local touch. This cocktail is made with a Bombay Sapphire gin base, dry vermouth which give it its dryness, freshly squeezed lime juice, a sour touch of angostura bitters and finished off with ginger beer. As a garnish we use an elegant sprig of rosemary, resulting in a minimalist presentation. The final result? A long drink in a clear glass separated by different shades which goes from the red of the bitters to the light green of the lime juice and the ginger beer, creating not just a great flavour but also a visual experience which accompanies an ample offer of tempting cocktails, the perfect pairing for our delicious Mediterranean cooking.
L’Elegant, an exception at our restaurant in Palma de Mallorca
Most of the cocktails on our new menu at our restaurant in Palma de Mallorca are very fruity. We have worked with fruits such as pineapple, guava and green apple and they have mostly appeared in our long drinks. Although there’s always exceptions: our cocktail L’Elegant is an example of this. It is created in a classic Martini glass and is centred on a citrus puree with Umeshu –a Japanese wine –, plum, tequila and finished off with cava. Also, this drink has an unusual feature: the outside of the glass is decorated with icing sugar, except for the stem. This element makes the cocktail have an aromatic edge and an interesting contrast which regulates the alcoholic content and acidity with the sugar.
