TaPalma 2019: Silver in Tapa TaPalma Libre | OMBU Restaurant

Tito Fuster, from OMBU restaurant, places second at TaPalma

Tito Fuster, the creative chef of our tapas restaurant in Palma de Mallorca, has been awarded the silver tapa in the well-known TaPalma competition in the Tapa TaPalma Libre category. The culinary creation which was put forward is our crispy carob with onion butter, candied ginger, fig and foie gras tapa. An authentic explosion of flavours which caught the attention of the judges during this year’s competition. On this occasion, the Palau de Congressos de Palma (the Palma Palace of Congress), the venue for the event for the second year running, welcomed hundreds of well-known professionals from the world of gastronomy to prepare and deliver the best creations.

 

Double recognition with TaPalma 2018 and TaPalma 2019

During last year’s edition of TaPalma, our creative tapas dish “Caminantes a Tailandia” was crowned the winner with the gold prize for the best Tapa TaPalma 2018. For our restaurant in Palma de Mallorca it is the second consecutive year of gaining a place on the podium in this prestigious competition in which nationally and internationally renowned chefs and barmen decide who are the best culinary artists.
